NON-PARTISAN FOREIGN MEDIATION AND AFRICAN DIPLOMATIC ARCHIVES: A SURE INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY FOR LEADERSHIP TRAINNING

This study examines the role of non-partisan foreign mediation and African diplomatic archives in enhancing institutional capacity for leadership training in Africa. The research is guided by the Social Constructivist Theory, which posits that knowledge and reality are constructed through social interactions. The thematic foci of the study focuses on Knowledge Preservation and Transfer which explores how African diplomatic archives can serve as a repository of knowledge and best practices in conflict mediation and leadership, and Capacity Building for Effective Mediationanalyzing the impact of non-partisan foreign mediation on leadership training and institutional capacity building in African States. Accordingly, the research work contributes to the existing literature on conflict mediation, leadership training, and institutional capacity building in Africa. It provides new insights into the role of African diplomatic archives in preserving and transferring knowledge on conflict mediation and leadership. The study as well highlights the significance of non-partisan foreign mediation in enhancing leadership training and institutional capacity in African States. The study concludes that non-partisan foreign mediation and African diplomatic archives are essential components of institutional capacity building for leadership training in Africa. Thus, recommended that African governments and regional organizations establish and strengthen diplomatic archives to preserve and transfer knowledge on conflict mediation and leadership. Furthermore, the study suggests that non-partisan foreign mediation should be encouraged and supported as a means of enhancing leadership training and institutional capacity building in African countries. Thus, the findings have implications for policymakers, scholars, and practitioners interested in conflict mediation, leadership training, and institutional capacity building in Africa.
